Applicant Eligibility:
Those eligible to receive funds are those for whom jazz music creation and employment constitutes a significant portion of their regular monthly income. Additionally, they must:
Not be eligible for, or currently on unemployment
Not have already received support from this Fund.
To ensure the fund allocates funding to the most at-risk members of the community, applicants’ annual or monthly income should be considered low- or moderate- income (LMI) for Los Angeles County.
Only life-line expenses will be considered for a grant, such as:
Rent
Electricity, Gas
Basic Telephone / Internet Service
Vehicle lease payments
Food (normal basic maintenance)
Medical, Insurance (if none other is available)
Confidentiality:
This application as well as the reviewing process are confidential; all participants and stakeholders are requested to maintain confidentiality.
Review Criteria:
Demonstrate urgent financial need.
Priority will be given to individuals that are of cultural populations that are financially vulnerable.
